At 34 and over the pub and club scene, Kylie Kinkade took advice from friends who suggested she look for love online.

After a month on the dating site RSVP she was contacted by Gary Hill who, like her, lived in Koonawarra.

A fortnight later they met for dinner and a movie, which was the start of a two-year relationship that saw them marry recently.

"I liked Gary from the moment we met. The first date was always going to be a bit tense but I felt at ease with him," Kylie said.

Gary, who has two sons, was also sick of the pub and club scene and was looking for a partner.

"I didn't quite know what to expect when I met Kylie because she did not post a picture but she exceeded expectations," he said.

They were married at St Luke's Church at Brownsville with Gary's sons in the wedding party.

It was followed by a reception at The Grange at Kembla Grange Golf Club and a two-week honeymoon in Tasmania.

Kylie said she had a few reservations about internet dating but couldn't be happier with the outcome.

Her advice to anybody wanting to find love on the internet was to be honest and not to put too much emphasis on physical qualities.
